  • back to cats..

I've noticed the Wolf sneezing a few times this weekend, it's not constant - maybe 2-3 times a day. He never usually sneezes. His nose is a little wetter than normal but there's no mucus or anything nasty and he seems absolutely fine otherwise. I did quite a bit of housework this weekend - I wonder if I've just kicked up a lot of dust?

  • Sad news yesterday. Little Dottie, who was only three years old was diagnosed with kidney failure last Thursday and died in her sleep Sunday night.

I've lost count of how many cats I've had to say goodbye to now :-(

    R.I.P. Dottie.

  • Sad news BN.. Better to have loved and lost than never love at all.. And, sadly, this is always the case with our pets..

  • RIP Dottie :-(

Funny you said that, our Wolf is sneezing a lot too! To be honest he is sneezing a few times almost every day since the first day he arrived at our home. He is generally a healthy bugger so I suspect some sort of allergy, he sneezes in his litter tray a lot but we are using a dust free litter so dunno why? He is generally not bothered about it, so I'm not worried too much. We sometimes find dry black (yuck!) boegers at the entrance to his nostrils which he is really happy to be picked (another yuck!) for him.

  • She miaows all the time, maybe it's a character thing, or male/female?

The mother is a big miaower.

  • My Wolf has stopped sneezing now, so I'm guessing it was the epic spring clean that triggered it. Lola keep an eye on his sneezing, it can be a sign of a bigger respiratory issue, if it gets worse I'd get the vet to check him out.

  • Rip Dottie. (now waiting at rainbow bridge) :)

  • Bertie just before he pounced on megs tail. And before she then chased him around the bedroom.

  • He looks a bit like a seal pup in that photo.

I think it's dust related allergy. We recently bought a super duper vacuum cleaner and I think he's sneezing improved in the last couple of weeks. But yes, if he gets worse then we will definitely seek an advice!

  • Bertie is lovely. He got bullied a bit by meg but they are getting better now.
He is getting braver and was on my lap in the lounge last night with his head constantly in my food!
    Boys definitely rule.

  • do shrimps make good pets ?

  • If they're not, they're a lot more edible than a cat

  • i just can't imagine curling up on the sofa with a ... shrimp in my lap

unless it was coated in sweet and sour sauce

  • B.N very sad about dottie, one of my cats died of the same.

  • My mum might be getting this little guy from Battersea:

I want him so much he is sooooo cute oh my god!

The only thing that would stop her is that he may not get on with other dogs, so we need to look into it....

  • Cat Flap Cam has seen a variety of visitors over the past few days.

  • ha! nice pup :)

  • Cat, cat, cat, cat, ALSATIAN

    Made me lol

She looks so like my Moses. I'm sorry you had to go through that BN. Any idea what caused the kidney failure?

  • @JB - was looking at Sylous on the web yesterday - looks like a fantastic dog.

As usual, lots of staffies in there; such a shame as they are brilliant family dogs. This thread needs more dogs - I'll try and work out how to posy a pic of our staffie, Stanley.

  • I suspect that is because the majority of people on the forum have to go to work, and whilst cats will quietly get on with the task of being sick in your slippers whilst on their own dogs need an audience, or they suffer.
