Edwardes of Camberwell have a tame engineer whom they use- if they are local to you might well be worth popping in.

That's excellent - I'm relatively local to Camberwell and have used them a few times before. Thanks Dammit/ Kowalski

How much ££s for drilling a crown?
-

Don't know. I bought the Pink Pinacolada from Edwardes, and they had the fork drilled FOC.
They take the fork to the engineer with a wheel and a brake to make sure it all lines up.

I did this myself without any problems whatsoever. All you need is a slow spinning, high torque drill. Ask around, i'm sure someone has got one.

yeah, should be easy enough if you take your time.

Interesting...I'm a cack handed oaf when it comes to that sort of thing, but know plenty of people who aren't - might consider this, thanks.

I have the neccessary tools, and i live in Camberwell. But i'm going away on Sat morn for a week. If it'll keep, i'm happy to help you out.

And? £8 well spent?
Right, I want to get a set of forks drilled - I know Vaz' brother can do it, but wanted to know if anyone had experience of his work, or could suggest an engineer or workshop as an alternative?
Before I get myself lynched, the forks are original to the frame, but NOT rare/ precious/ flat crowned...they are basic steel forks with plenty of space for a brake hole
