  • Page gawn Uniform Warez...

  • If you want a Bauhaus under £150, I can recommend a Rodina - http://www.good-stuffs.com/Classic-Rodina-automatic-wrist-watch-OEM-by-Sea-Gull-ST17_p_156.html

Had mine almost a year and it's holding up just fine. Nomos 'homage' but actually feels pretty good quality and lots of people on the internet swear by them.

  • Seagull movements are meant to be good. Often ETA clones.

  • Just picked up one of these:

  • What do you guys think, as a guy, 37mm watch. Would that be ok or is it too tiny?

  • I have an Explorer I (36mm) and 1950's omega Seamaster (34/5mm) and they both look great. I don't have fat wrists though;

  • I have a very similar Seamaster (really similar actually even the strap, just not as good condition) and I have had a few joky "Is that a ladies watch". You can get away with it as a dress watch with shirt or whatever but difficult with t-shirt.

However, most of my watches are 40mm and something like the Seiko Monster looks way bigger than my Tudor Hydronaut even though they're both 40mm dive watches.

Basically, it's bloody hard to tell. Have a look at the height as well, how chunky the bezel looks, etc

I'm not particularly big. Slightly more "thick set" than average but only short so wrists are, I imagine, fairly average.

  • Am still intrigued by 24 hour watches...

  • So am I. Cannot find anything decent other than rolexes though.

  • Some not very good pictures

  • Thought I should post a pic of my beast. Had it for a while but resisted putting it up. Ordered a new rubber strap so I can wear it out more often.

  • Not a bad looking copy... BTW You need to work out less... Looks like you're wearing it on your leg...

  • Not a copy ;-) but I got a good price cause it's well worn and has seen a lot. Which is exactly what I wanted. Case has scuffs and marks so I'm not shy to wear it either!

if I had less arm, the watch would look more ridiculous. Next I'll do a decaprio tag heuer photo to show the sizing off properly ;-)

  • That real?

  • I just can't get past the crown cover on those

  • Is that 49mm? I think I'd need bigger wrists.

  • That is a proper wanker watch.

  • Had it for a while but resisted putting it up.

    why?

That is a proper wanker watch.

    oh

  • Let's say it's not real.

This one is quite special because it's a 2006 watch. It dates the time I arrived in the UK and I got it to commemorate me getting my citizenship.

Crown guard is something that makes it special. We all chase after the original rolex sub because it's the original and it's distinctive. Something that makes it recognisable. And I like it. Distinctive sandwich dial with distinctive numerals.

    It's a 44mm.

And it's not a commonly known brand so it's only 'appreciated' by those that know watches. A sleeper marque.

Its not to everyone's taste. Probably most in fact. But it makes me happy wearing it.

And it's not a micro sized so fits me.

  • Thats that Rii like?

  • I like those Panerai's - but I still can't tell from what you've said if it's moody or the real thing. Good reason to get a watch and to keep hitting the free weight section ;)

  • Good. Strangely a little small for my mitts though. I was expecting something a little bigger. But other than that, it's really good. Battery life is good. Feels good. Sturdy and light.
