If they'll be vegan (not really asking, as I'm sure they will be), I'll happily take some off you, too! No need to deliver, as I could pick them up.

They will be vegan, (Kristoff is vegan, that's what inspired this in the first place), but don't worry non-vegans, they will be 531 ceritfied.

I'm sure they'll be scrumptious! (Non-vegans don't have anything to worry about, anyway, as vegan food is inclusive. Pretty much anyone can eat it. :) )

Do you want the monkey on coke or not?

Yeah, but I know allot of people have opinions of what vegan baking is like. Don't worry! I'll use real chocolate, and lots and lots of sugar. I'm still looking to see whether creative or zero is going to be happy to cough up a cargo bike for free, this will determine wether it's a week day or weekend delivery.

I hear they are giving them away for free in holborn, but you have to remove the arm yourself.

In all this excitement about biscuits, I forgot to ask: Which hill was he descending into Brighton? Had he come over Ditchling Beacon or Devil's Dyke?
It does sound good from your description that he got away with just the collarbone break. Not the best injury to have if you're a messenger, but hopefully one that'll heal realitively quickly! Best wishes for his recovery.

How do you make a non-vegan cookie? Use beef? Steak and kidney cookies? YUM

I think it was the beacon...I was too busy keeping up on my last ride to brighton to catch the names of everything. The really really steep downhill, the twisty one that goes back up sharply on the other side of town.
Kris is a bit of an animal, he's been working 3-4 days a week and riding to Brighton and back at least once, if not twice, a weekend.

I'm only going for two nights - any suggestions for bright times? *this should probably be in travel.
Chocolate biscuits ftw!
What about cappucino muffins? Used to get them in Oz. Haven't found nice ones over here..

You can't get anything nice here, all the nice things are in Australia.

The Beacon downhill is shallow except for the last bit, which is where it may have happened. I haven't done Devil's Dyke yet, but someone told me it was steeper. Your description makes it sound more like Devil's Dyke.

nhatt, I have a cafe at the place i run so might be able to do some wholesale deal with you. It depends on the chef and there's bound to be some boring h&s issues. Pm me, I'm back in the office tomorrow. -

That's why I'm here. :)

If they are also nut free I'll defo get 12... the guy who sits next to me is a vegan nut alergy sufferer... I've not managed to get anything yet that he's eaten!
For cakes that are delivered and a good cause I'm willing to pay £10. If you go for £5, I'll donate the other £5.
I'm aware of a bakery in High st ken that charged £27 for their cakes+delivery... although that was on valentines day...
Hey all-
A courier mate of mine was riding in to Brighton this weekend and, on the steepest down hill, managed to get up to 70 k, looked up and saw a truck that probably had enough room coming towards him and touched his breaks. So, he broke his collar bone and is pretty fucking lucky, IMO.
Since this didn't happen at work I'm not sot sure if the emergency fund is going to be able to help him that much. Some of us couriers are also ex-chefs, and we were thinking about doing a baking fund raiser to help him pay rent and what not till he heals, and since he won't even have the surgery for at least two weeks, this could be awhile.
SO! The idea is that we bake cookies, pre sell them by the dozen, and i'll deliver them to your office via the Christianna bike. The question is, how much would you pay for this? Is ten pounds per dozen too much, even if they are delivered and for a good cause?
Would you/your office be interested? I'm thinking we'll do it on a tuesday in two or three weeks.
