Wanted: Decent can opener

Do any of you ultra sophisticated city dwellers have a recommendation for a can opener that:
a) opens cans without shredding the edge into a saw tooth finger muching mutha,
b) does not cost a flipping fortune,
c) lasts longer than a few weeks?

Input muchly appreciated........

I use my teeth.

I also use tommy's teeth.

light a small fire underneath the can and stand well back.

Asda ones not the cheap crap ones the one that costs around £3.50 works fine everytime.

I knew I could rely on getting sensible replies to this ;-)

My camily had the same tin opener for pretty much my entire childhood! They're so basic, I just find it hard to believe you've had issues finding one. And they're so cheap that you can afford to try a few to find one you like. And I'm notoriously cheap, so if even I would consider that course of action it can't be that bad.

Seriously, it is a pretty dumb thread. Definitely my favourite kind.
