•
Good or bad?
• depends on the pint

    Real Ale: Good
    Vodka: Bad

  • For me? Bad.

What I do suffers from being a bit tipsy. So I have to leave it until after work.

  • I remember when 3 martini lunches in the 90s were quite normal.

So a pint or two now is ok.

Unless meeting clients in the afternoon.

  • I'm on some watery rugby themed ale right now

    not amazing, but different

  • depends on your job.

    surgeon - bad

    shop worker - good

  • For me? Good. And on a Saturday? Better.

  • Nothing wrong with a Friday lunchtime pint

  • no pubs within 2miles of my work, there is a greasy spoon that sells cans of stella and fosters though.

  • Co-workers spot u at a Greasy Spoon with tin in hand...Recepy for disaster - fired/forced to join AA

  • Years ago I worked in timber yard with a bunch of absolute nutters. Lunch time saw us driving at high speed to the local where we'd down 4 pints of Morrells each before screaming back just in time to clock back in.

    haha! +1

  • i go to work drunk all the time, being your own boss rules, as do martini lunches and alcoholism.

  • For me? Bad.

Depends how much I have. Coding after 1 pint seems to get the creative juices going and productivity goes up. I'm more likely to take a chance on a particular course of action rather than procrastinate.

More than 1 is bad - things go downhill pretty rapidly - judgement and quality are affected.

  • Nothing wrong with a Monday lunchtime pint

    Fixed

  • For me, terrible. I spend the afternoon alternating being doing nothing and having a slash

Fixed, guiness will fill you up more than a soup and its nearly the same price

  • Nothing wrong with a Monday breakfast pint

    re-fixed

My head is banging this morning.

  • Fixed, guiness will fill you up more than a soup and its nearly the same price

    +1

  • friday afternoon pint is mandatory cos friday is P.O.E.T.S day

  • for me bad, there is enought time after work

  • Pint at any time at work - always a good idea. Though Vielcios is right, gotta be real ale.

  • Can I have a pint now? I know it isn't lunch time but I'll be here until the small hours of the morning.

  • 3 pints of sam smiths bitter, followed by a trip to sainsbury's for some (fuck) heineken, followed by a session of woodworking, turned out to not be such a good idea. Luckily I didn't cut my little finger off, just chipped the bone. :)

You seem like a stand up guy Chris so you probably haven't tried what I'm about to suggest:

Coding after 1 or 2 spliffs is amazing, you are unable to get frustrated and therefore can continue coding for a long time. I hate coding stone cold sober because I just want to punch everyone and everything. It's so frustrating!
