For me? Bad.
What I do suffers from being a bit tipsy. So I have to leave it until after work.

I remember when 3 martini lunches in the 90s were quite normal.
So a pint or two now is ok.
Unless meeting clients in the afternoon.

Years ago I worked in timber yard with a bunch of absolute nutters. Lunch time saw us driving at high speed to the local where we'd down 4 pints of Morrells each before screaming back just in time to clock back in.

i go to work drunk all the time, being your own boss rules, as do martini lunches and alcoholism.

Depends how much I have. Coding after 1 pint seems to get the creative juices going and productivity goes up. I'm more likely to take a chance on a particular course of action rather than procrastinate.
More than 1 is bad - things go downhill pretty rapidly - judgement and quality are affected.

3 pints of sam smiths bitter, followed by a trip to sainsbury's for some (fuck) heineken, followed by a session of woodworking, turned out to not be such a good idea. Luckily I didn't cut my little finger off, just chipped the bone. :)

You seem like a stand up guy Chris so you probably haven't tried what I'm about to suggest:
Coding after 1 or 2 spliffs is amazing, you are unable to get frustrated and therefore can continue coding for a long time. I hate coding stone cold sober because I just want to punch everyone and everything. It's so frustrating!
