25miles in two and a half hours, dude thats an average of 10mph incl stops...id say no good at all
Even though you're running a very spinny gear, thats nothing to brag about.i did 40miles once in under that time, thought it was on a geared, but still, if you choose your gear right you can get the speed you need on the straights. Id say up the chainring to a 42/44T

it's good if you enjoyed yourself.

just keep it up mate, a gearing of around 70 GI is a good allrounder, 2GI either side of that to wherever you're comfortable.
more riding will improve your pedal stroke, which you need to increase your cadence, 10mph in your gearing is roughly an average of 55RPM, which is low.

** i had fun anyway**That's the main thing, it's pointless if it's no fun.
Increased distance means increased endurance so you will beable to ride even further! Remember to fuel the fire though and eat / drink during your ride rather than just before and after.

If you enjoyed it, have started cycling again after a break and want to do more, that's all good. Do eat though; or at least pop a Mars bar in your pocket; it's no fun cycling if you run out of energy:)

The fact that people can run that distance more quickly means you have bit of work to do :-)
Are you sure it was 25 miles and not further?
