good to hear positive reports, TBH after the last album, coupled with that very first download only track they released a few months ago, i wasnt holding my breath, but must say Omen has really grown on me. not exactly groundbreaking material, but fun nonetheless. will definately check it out...

this is one of those defining prodigy albums they have been away for a while but returned with something that really unites prodigy fans. Also I think they have built the album around what will sound best performed live and this is the reason I MUST see them live again this year at least once.

Sorry... but the title track must die.
-
• #11
^ yeah im still totally not sure about that title track, is it just me or does it not sound like a 12 year old making breaks on their playstation?
-

Like alot of artists nowadays, their older original stuff was miles better. Voodoo people and breathe, i mean A* tunes compared to this garbage.

just you! i love it! it made me dream about going to war in an antique biplane!

sorry dude, but I personally think the production is pretty shoddy, i expect better from mr Howlett....maybe once i have a hard copy and give it a run through the old moniters it will make sense, but still sounds pretty two dimensional to me in comparison to what i know he's capable of.
(Although i will admit i thought the same about always outnumbered when i first heard it, and certain tracks did grow on me, but it still lacks the substance of earlier work)

this album reminds me of Fat of The Land, refreshing new sounds, again.

Aww dont bring up cliché's, everything nowadays can be considered a cliché. Any chance of that being my actual, well thought through opinion.
And those were just two examples of the music i miss, thar be many more, ye not worry lad. -

But to be fair, ive only listened to 5 tracks on the album, all of which sounded really familiar and are nothing special, which is why i stopped.
Im not saying their awful, they're just less original. -
• #23
;) i love you really.
The album, in my still-forming and opinion, is a really satisfying marriage of the oft-cited old glowsticks Prodigy and the tighter more breaksy new incarnation. I agree with Guerillaphoto about it potentially uniting old and new fans.

one of my first ever employers (if you discount the archaeology). stories to tell...

ok if you still think that the new album is commercial and nothing like their old stuff listen to this track off their new album although not the best recording it portrays the exact feeling you get when a Prodigy track is played and performed live:
the New prodigy album...
anyone rocking to this ? if not it's well worth getting, it's a great album.
I'm in such a good mood from listening to it.
