oh no, that's sad if true.
the guy who ran that was so nice, came and delivered a few things in person to me.
shame

Bizarre. I was just on their site last night.

They might have just failed to renew the domain name, and now it's been stolen by a domain squatter.
-
• #5
Indeed... it expired last night and a domain squatter has got it:

Well, good news in a way- at least they have not gone under.
Might be "interesting" being them tomorrow morning when they find that they have no website...

He might now go bust if he's lost his domain... it's very hard to get a good presence for sales on the web, and if you lose it you pretty much start from zero again.
-
• #8
Too much to hope that the squatter gives it back for a nominal fee I suppose...
-
• #9
domain squatting sounds horrible.

• #10
Snoops have you got contact details for Biddle?
-
• #11
i was going to order a fuji track of there as well !
-
• #12
contact details here
feel for the bloke but it's not easy to let a domain name expired. One of mine did recently and had about twenty reminder emails

I've changed the link in the Online Shops list, to the one Kelvin provided.
Hopefully that will help the shop still get some business; at least from this forum.
-
• #14
I've phoned the contact number first thing this morning- it's going to voicemail.
I presume they are currently pulling their hair out working out how to get their domain back, rather than answering the phone mind you.

• #15
why don't we contact the guy and try help and re set up his web prescence
if we all hit his site 10 times it might push it back to top billing
if they are good chaps could the forum not try and help in some way -

Sigh. They're not going to get the domain back.
But... I've purchased http://www.biddlebikes.com/ for them.
If anyone can contact them or get through, point them my way and I'll hand it over to them for the purchase fee. At least they will be up and running as soon as possible, and I'll give them a header link for a week to help improve their search engine placement so that they at least stand a chance at not going bust because of this.

Flippin' heck VB! In this world of every man for himself, you're a real gent.

well done dave great sentiments mate
could we set up a sticky here for them to help promote the new site if he takes you up on your offer ? -
• #20
Just had a bike delivered from Biddle Bikes last week, good service too.
So unless they have folded since Thursday, it'll be just the domain. -
• #21
I do hope they're not defunct, since I'm waiting for a Fuji Track from them to replace my nicked one. Good work that man for buying them the .com BTW!

I'll put a header banner in. With over 280,000 visits a month now, it should help them greatly (in fact were I to charge a sponsor for such a thing I would be looking for £1k per month for it).
I hope it staves off any ill side effects of such a simple thing as failing to renew a domain. I hope they're not too hard on the person to blame either, it's just a human error.

I love this place... LFGSS to the rescue...

Yeah, all we need to do now is work out how to tell them. Obviously their email and website is down, and they're not answering their mobile.
So if anyone does speak to them, please point them my way, it will end a very bad day for them.

VBAKADK (theartistformerlyknownasVB), is it ok for them to call you directly, or would you prefer email? In case someone gets through to them.....
Their website seems to go to a holding page now?
