I'd always struggled with getting chainline just so and then finding it wasn't! I've got Suze hub, On-One cog and Shimano Freewheel.
Measuring outside of hub flange to centre of fixed cog gives 12mm.
From outside of hub flange to freewheel centre gives 15mm
Centre of cog to centre if freewheel is 83mm.
I assume I need to focus on fixed chainline at the expense of freewheel, say 1mm out on fixed which would give 2mm out on freewheel.
Are these sort of discrepancies 'normal' Doctor?
