  • A card has been designed that will be sent on behalf of the lfgss along with the flowers for Eilidh.

A version of this will be available as a spokecard for the memorial ride with all proceeds going towards the charities designated by Eilidh's loved ones

If you can't make the ride and would still like to contribute we can send a spokecard to you

[big thanks to Murtle for help with the printing, if anyone can help with laminating then that would be fantastic]

  • NIce one wayno.
    Is there a suggested donation?

  • £1 would be good

  • We put up £2 for the tweed ride ones, don't think anyone will begrudge the money for such a good cause

  • make it £2.
if anyone moans, then they are clearly heartless pricks.

    nice design by the way!

  • Good work people

  • Excellent work.

How are donations going to work for the spoke card? I'm not going to be there but would like to have one in my spokes for the day.

  • good work fellas.

  • Excellent work.

How are donations going to work for the spoke card? I'm not going to be there but would like to have one in my spokes for the day.

Nice one - If you PM me your address I'll pop one in the post and just use the donate link

  • BDW I have a laminator and can acquire pockets from work, I can do a load.

  • £2 it is.
    It's a lovely Design BDW

I'll help sell them on the day of the ride - J-man from J mag fame, Pravy the adopted son, hoops and Dunc can you assist with this? we wont have long to get them out and collect the money. discretion is key

  • that's magic Clefty - I'll have a word with Murtle and as soon as they're printed I'll get them to you, would you like a hand with the laminating?

  • i'm up for some distribution duties.
might even havea laminator at work....i'll check it out.

  • I dont want to be an insensitive prick and throw a spanner in the works.

But didnt She ride a Lo-Pro?

Im sure to the people who actually knew her, and her family of course. Little details like that would be an appreciated personal touch.

  • Likewise, it would be good (IMO) to have Eilidh's name.

  • Tomasito - the card that was sent to the family did have Eilidh's name and a message from the forum, was looking at something that reflected the spirit of that in the spokecard and a straw poll at westies was to just go with the one in the OP but if it's felt to be more appropriate then I can do one with Eilidh's name

DFP - Pip has been in touch with Giles and this has heavily informed the content of the spokecard re: content and copy

this is the card that was sent with the flowers

  • stick with the one in the OP.

  • +1

  • BTW, donations are now at £809.

PayPal have removed £44.64 in fees which I'm covering.

Flowers have cost £105, so the current charity donation will be £704.

  • Thats fantastic - When you stopping taking donations?

  • Not sure. In a week or so I guess.

I want enough time to get the money out of PayPal before the memorial ride, so that the donations and the money from the spoke cards can all be pooled together and donated in one go straight afterwards.

I don't think it's good to draw it out too long, the family and friends will need closure, and I think having a significant charitable donation sooner and then taking it down will help a little in not dragging things out unnecessarily. Not that I've spoken to anyone about it... I just figure if it was Fizz who was being confronted with something like this for me, that I wouldn't want her to have to go through considerations and reminders too much for too long... it's hard enough as it is.

  • PayPal have removed £44.64 in fees which I'm covering.

    Well done that man

  • nice one VB, good on you for getting this all organized so quickly.

  • I would consider contacting paypal, see if they can reimburse the fees due to the nature of what the money is for.
