Wanted: At least to borrow, an extremely old mac powerbook cable

My nearly ten year old laptop is unusable now as the cable started smoking and bubbling the other day.

I need to replace it with a better computer (and if your selling something that I can run adobe illustrator on, i'm probably interested) but I also want to get the stuff on my laptop off of it. So f you have a very old cable laying about, can I borrow it?

Is that the round type connection? (As opposed to the new rectangular fitting)

No black, but wouldn't the old G4 ibooks fit? If so I'm sure I have one. I'll find a pic online now!

it doesn't look exactly like my old one, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't work. I know nothing about computers, this is how I've ended up with my laptop being ten years old and smoking.

Do you do any of the drinks? I could bring said beast with me and see if your plug fits.

What writing did the old one have on it? Should have values followed by V, mA.

if you can find it, just take it to Maplin and tell then you want 'one of these'...

Probs won't be out til next week TBH. I'm ill and relegated to my bed. You would have to come collect from N15. I'm 90% sure I know where it is but might take a bit of digging around.

Nhatt I have a spare one, I just brought a replacement for mine
I brought it off ebay and released it was for the older model of mine after i got it.
(so i have 2 now) so should be fine for yours i think.
I can bring it intro central tomorrow night if you still need then.
