Morning people,

So not the happiest reason to have a ride, but as some of you may or may not have read. A fellow cyclist was killed on her commute at Notting Hill Gate on the morning of 5th Feb. 09 (http://www.londonfgss.com/thread16171.html)

This ride is one of the LFGSS ideas which Giles (velcro) and Eilidh's family and friends would love to go a head.

The ride date at the moment is the* Sat. 7th March, Starting at 12:30pm.*

If you could just bring a flower and we can tie them to the railings once we get there, rather than wearing all black or arm bands etc. (giles's wishes)

Just putting this out there so everyone knows whats going on.

Lets get together in a proper LFGSS way.

The meeting point is the bandstand at Hampstead Heath and the end point is the pedestrian island at Notting Hill Gate.

For those who have pm'd me about outriding etc. thanks the more the merrier.

As requested by Giles and Eilidh's sister we can raise a glass or two at The Mitre (40 Holland Park, Avenue, W11 3QY) which is a little further down the road booked between 12-5 where we can park our bikes in the garden at the back.

PS: Could we make some effort to have people wear black armbands or something. I don't think bystanders should confuse what is happening with a social ride.

With reference to this suggestion, there is a company that sells these and will also print a logo with wording of your choice onto them. If this is something people would be interested in doing, i dont mind arranging this and taking orders etc.
If any members want to get back to me, i will start making enquiries to the cost etc from the company.
