Wheel trueing/generous pedestrian victim

coming home last night and this guy just steps off the pavement straight infront of me with out looking at all. we both go down no one hurt but my front wheel is a bit out of true. anyway he was really apologetic and gave me his number and £50 and told me to get in touch if i needed anymore for repairs!! amazing! how much do BLB charge for trueing?

£10 but you could easily do it yourself with a tool costing £5...

Before giving him £45 back, I'd check the bike for any subtle damage you may not have yet spotted: bent fork, bends around headtube, damaged headset etc...

Either take it into a shop and return the change, or just do it yourself and buy the man 48 cans of stella.

if you want to restore more faith in humanity, give the money back, it's a win-win either way, or just give him £40 if you spend £10 on truing the wheel, kinda fair that is.

If no damage then just take a tenner and call him. He might say "keep the rest" and just be thankful it's not more.

Saffa's are just like Australians, only without their redeeming features.

One evening a month or two back, a woman on King St saw me coming, stepped out into the road anyway and then stopped when I got closer. I hit her and went down but annoyingly she remained standing. My front wheel was fucked, so I spent the next 10 minutes chasing her up and down King St trying to mug her for £50, without success. Keep the money.

Yes the same thought has occurred to me since. I was going fast, and proceeding on the basis that she would not stop directly in front of me at the last minute, as she did.

Not quite. Braked / skidded / fell to one side. She was totally unharmed. It was not my finest hour on the roads.
