  • I'm taking it tomorrow morning, and i'm a bit freaked out.

I've been studying, but I'm not retaining all the number that I think I need to, like what years things happened, or what percentage of the population is what ethnicity.

How bad was the test? Anyone you know fail it?

  • What the fuck? Actual real life fucking English people wouldn't know shit like that.

    I'm buying my test score.

  • Never taken it.

Just remember, a punnet's for strawberries, not for Christmas.

  • Yeah? and what percentage of the population lives in scotland?

  • There are alot of funny practice questions about santa, actually.

    But my favorite is:

Where do children typically get their pocket money from:

    A. their friends
    B their parents
    C. the government

  • Less than in Yorkshire. That's all you need to know.

  • Do you want my book and home made flash cards when i'm done, Hippy?

  • Yep. My mates wife is Brazillian and she had to take it when they got married. I had a go on one and I just scraped through with 70%, and I have lived here all my life! Good luck lol

  • Yeah, most of the british people who've had a go on a practice test have failed.

I failed the american one, but I really don't mind being a bad american.

  • "two world wars and one world cup"; that's the motto (in Latin) on British coins. You'll need to know that.

Mighty kind of you to offer but I'm not actually eligabubble for another year and a half or something like that.

if anyone is interested in testing their british knowledge, that's the site.

Just so you know it's not an official one, and some of the english is dodgy, but after reading the book the questions seem like they will be simular to the ones in the official version

  • read the daily star and the sun the day before and u should pass. with flying marks.

  • Well, i'll be happy to get rid of my study aides after tomorrow, I hope. If anyone wants they, they're going free...

  • that test is shit and degrading, it proves nothing about knowing about life in the uk, just another way to squeeze money from people

Hmmm.. uk history spoke cards? the thinking mans choice

which is the point of the exercise; to get you used to how you'll feel most of the time living in Britain.

  • yeah, I feel like the ten pound book and the thirty pound test is adding insult to injury after scraping together 750 pounds for my visa

  • which is the point of the exercise; to get you used to how you'll feel most of the time living in Britain.

thing is i already had 20 years experience!

  • I got 75%! I'm proper British me. 'ave a banana! gov'nor
