Turbo Saddle opinions wanted

Hi everybody...what do you think of Turbo Saddles [yes i know saddles are a very personal thing].....particularly late models with perforations....short ride comfort?...Long ride comfort?....Breaking in? etc etc.....Collective opinion would be appreciated....I get on with Rolls saddles but not ultra-thin Saddles eg Specialized Toupe...where i met BA Baracus's friend.....'pain!'......Cheers

I bought one SH from Tour de Ville on Saturday. Quite pleased with it so far, all ten miles of it.

i have a turbo saddle and i thought it was the shit until i got a brooks. its lighter than the brooks but you can sacrifice comfort IMO

san marco rolls broke my ass; I have two bio turbos if these count, the second of which is riding like a beauty. Haven't tested it past thirty or so miles yet though.

the regular turbo is good (i got two), however the perforated one is excellent! I am gutted as mine has disintegrated under my arse - it was so comfortable!

Managed to pick up a vintage super turbo and after 20 miles or so its still making my arse feel abused.

Hopefully it will soften up as i paid £20.00 for it NOS from local bike shop.

Cleanest looking saddle bar none. Comfy too.

I quite like the flight rip-off. Mind you you buy a flite because it's an amazingly good saddle, rather than for the looks. Therefore a poor quality knock-off is a bit pointless.

I've got an old turbo on my bike, just got in from a nice ride around London and my gooch has taken a pounding so I need to more adjusting before its alright I think..

if a rolls fit you turbo should fit well too.

I would dis agree. I love the rolls and normally have them on all my bikes, where as the turbo is a work of pure evil that I can't ride for more than 3 minutes before people must be killed.

They may look similar, but the fit is quite different.

they don't agree with me. the rolls is pretty good, the concor is better. generally i find san marco saddles a better fit (for me) than selle italia, as far as older saddles are concerned.

saying that, i do have two turbos going spare if anyone's interested, one knackered standard one (free) and one super turbo in decent condition (tenner).

Rolls and Turbos bash the fuck out of my crotch. Concors are great: it's all about the sumptuous curve.

dunno about comfort, but it seems pretty well padded. better than a standard one.

the knackered one is dark brown (probably black to begin with), the super turbo is black.

Super turbo? the ugly one with gold ish bits on it? nah.

BTW, Turbo saddles are the best!! (for my ass anyways...)
