An era of flamboyant neckwear is officially over. Time to reclaim the cravat.
But more importantly, his good friend and agent is called Roc Renals.

I had a picture in "the gallery" when I was 5 or 6.
the prize was a couple of book tokens

Tony Hart was inspirational. he played a part in me going to art college and becoming a photographer.
he wore his cravat like a dandy
R.I.P -

R.I.P to the fella, i did a lot of artwork because of that man, was a huge fan of morphe when i was a kid and i thought he was a hugely creative person,
think there needs to be some re-runs of his shows as a mark of respect

The best parts of his shows were just him... having a really great time executing one of his crazy ideas, usually time-lapse footage.
He was omnipresent in my life as a kid. All I did between 7-10 years was paint and draw, like 6 hours a day!
Was Morph animated by Nick Park?
-
• #11
No but it was done by Lord and Sproxton, the original founders of Aardman Animations, Nick Park didn't join Aardman until the mid 80's. Morph was Aardman's first 'big break' though.
I used to like Morph's mate Chas who was always the naughty one.

Please... not in the same sentence. Those ITV presenters are substandard filth.

What a legend! I got an aluminium mini maglight as a prize off him when i was about 10 for making a recycled aluminium Christmas decoration. Was well proud of that. Still got it right here in this room with me now!

He didn't get crushed under a giant stapler did he?! Sad. That's Postgate and Hart in quick succession. Does someone wanna check Floella Benjamin is ok?

Fuck what about Derek Griffiths?
I saw him on the tellybox quite recently, some retrospective of children's TV. I think he's still alive.
No longer with us now. Died at 83, much respect to the man. Could inspire us kids to get creative in a way late 90's/early 00's bright young zany presenters couldnt dream of.
Legend.
