You will need a road stem with a 26mm bar clamp,,, Not 25.4 or 31.8...
Try flipping your stem upside down before buying a new one.
Cheapest 26mm would be on ebay or something like the Cinelli Vai

Thats a pretty good tip on the 50mm Cinelli stem, C2 - thanks. Im trying to avoid a stem with rise though (i.e I thing I'd prefer 0 degrees). Im sure I've seen heaps of folk using MTB ones with drops though.
Might try one of these if i cant find anything else.

Stem advice sought - 1 1/8, 50mmish
I have a f/1.8 50mm going if anyone is interested.
(Nikon)
Im trying to replace my 100mm stem with something much shorter as my riding position is not right. Im using:
1 1/8 unthreaded forks
26mm bars
Im thinking a stocky MTB style one is probably the was to go, but they all seem to have either 25.4mm clamps, or oversize 30.1 or whatever it is. Thinking something like this:
Can anyone suggest a stem which will fit my existing bars with the more common road size?
I'd prefer not to buy new bars as Im very much experimenting with the set-up at the moment.
