Are all the holes standard ?

The holes in the rim, are they all standard fixed position holes - sometime people get a rim with 32 (or 28) holes and just buy a few extra holes to spread around, if you know what I mean.

I thought the ones you buy a part where squre ones, but maybe i wrong.

Rik, the cheap ones are square (Taiwanese, Chinese) - but you can get good quality round holes quite cheap on ebay - not perfect circles, but for a hole in a rim - good enough.

Sounds like someone has bought extra holes to increase a low hole count rim to 32.

It's probably worth checking if the holes are loose not, the original holes will (of course) be rock solid, but holes that have been added tend to be quite loose.
