Bit of luck involved I think. I am currently running a 25.4 Nitto courier bar in a 26.0 Nitto stem and it fits perfectly. But have to shim my drops (which are also 25.4), so not sure how that works?
Using Nitto shims rather than coke can as i thought it was easier.

Shim shimmany, shim shimmany, shim shim shroo!
I'd use a proper shim ie: the nitto kerley mention, or anything the right thickness. I've had problems in the past with beer can shims slipping, i'm still trying to forget that night...
I used to use rolls of copper shim at work which were available in varying thicknesses, not sure where you'd find any tho, so that wasn't much help, sorry.

Make sure you get a converse shim, though.

Guys have the same problem
My Fuji has 26mm stem. Bought Easton risers and they are 25.4
Is it better to find 25.4 stem or shim will work? -

i coke can shimmed mine and it occasionally slipped. Shims are cheaper and I've noticed no difference in performance.
Will a coke-can shim work or have people still had problems?
Searched, haven't found any relevant to those specific sizes. (Googled too)
Feel free to recommend me a stem which will work with my stock Charge fork and with a 25.4 (1") clamp.
