  • Good spot, dude...

  • Didn't WiganWilliam mention something about another BBC thing featuring himself and Nhatt? Is it this one?

  • There was something on GMTV this morning about the rise in cycle use. It was pretty interesting, did anyone else see it?

  • Didn't WiganWilliam mention something about another BBC thing featuring himself and Nhatt? Is it this one?

Nope, this is something else by the same producer, Katie.

Glad you spotted this, it should be good.
The one that Will and I are on will be aired on january 30th.

Cool cool, I shall be waiting with baited breath..

So this Katie has a passion for cycling then? Does she ride?

  • she does...sort of.

She has an old beaten up folding bike.

I evidently sold her young man a bike when I was working in Oxford though, maybe his good taste in bikes will rub off on her.

  • I did, Wibble. It's by the same producer who made the City Couriers one that went out in July; it's being broadcast on 30th January. The BBC asked her to make a follow up. Don't know who apart from me and Nhatt is in it but with beauty and brains like that who needs other contributors? I think it's meant to be a way of taking a different view of the recession - the view from the gutter in this case.
If it is as well received as the first one me and Nhatt are fully confident of having our own daytime chatshow by year's end. Or possibly being pared up as newsreaders, following the trend for one attractive young woman and one slightly creapy older man. | use 'man' in it's broadest sense.

PS I don't type very fast.

  • Is there any chance of Will and Nhatt getting aregular slot on Radio 4? I think that they would fit in very nicely in Ambridge.

  • Haha, you know you're addicted to fixies when a girl has her hand in your pants, and the ford advert comes on and you shout 'omg a fixie!'...

    embarrassed

    Cool find though.

  • Will, we should try and take over the bike show for one session/episode/timeslot.

We could break into the studio with chain whips and really big spanners, tie up the producer and host with inner tubes, and have a nice civialized chat with couriers, reminding commuters NOT TO BLOODY PASS ON THE INSIDE.

    Just a thought.

    'bated' breath.

  • Haha, you know you're addicted to fixies when a girl has her hand in your pants, and the ford advert comes on and you shout 'omg a fixie!'...

Calm down dear. It's only a commercial.

and don't call them fixies. If your lady's like me she'll just go home and spend the evening with her track bike instead of giving you a going over.

  • Haha, she's not my lady as such, nor does she ride a bike, so i guess she's a COMPLETE FAIL. I'm trying to get her out on one but she knows she'd never keep up with me :P

  • Shouldn't you already be at home Nhatt, not getting up to that business? oh dear...you're in trouble now! ;)

  • That's part of the problem, Scott, I AM at home.

If I was at the mister's house I wouldn't be huddled up to my computer, typing like a maniac.

    god help me.

  • hehe.....so why aren't you over here cutting out bags for me?...:(

  • I wish I was.

In fact, if I can just close my laptop, I can go and finish that novel I've been dying to read all day, "Death and the penguin"

    Totally awesome.

I'm so so over due a visit to your HQ it's not really funny. It's not even tragicomedy.
I promise after I get my visa I'll be around more, it's just having to work five days is killing me.

  • you still cargo biking? that's gotta be a tough 5 day week?

  • Well, Ihe cargo bike it'self is tough, but since I totally wrecked my knee on it I've only been riding about half the day, and counting tyres the other half. Could be worse, but I'm still pretty worn down all the time.
Ok, I'm going to go take a bath and go to bed....wish me luck.

  • you know things are bad when you need luck to take a bath! :)
    seeya at HQ soon!

  • I wish I was.

    hey nat,

    how you doing ?

i read death and penguin. it is good innit.

do you know what time the prog is going out on jan 30.

  • I managed to finish the book last night, it was amazing, only I didn't realize it was part of a series. So now I have to get the rest of the books...

I'm not sure what time it'll be out, a week before hand they should have little ads for it and it should be listed on the beeb's website.

  • i am glad you liked it. i have not read the second one. the author (i cant remember his name) was on radio 4 the other day. i cant remember what he was on. maybe open book. so you have something in common - r4 guests. nice one.

yep i will keep an eye on the listings for your programme.

    bye for now.
