time to sell the bikes.

• #3
only embarrassing if you own a OTP
-
• #4
No, its embarrassing for all of us.
It means it is now officially an accessory of clothing.
TBH, it seems a bit late in the trend. -
• #5
Top Shop Oxford Circus? Must get some photos.

agreed. what took them so long?
-
• #7
Yeah that is the one. Personally I don't care - it gives me something to look at while I wait for my wife to finish her shopping.
-
• #8
Ah, let them. Not like it's been done loads before with skateboarding, punk etc etc. Must be a talentless "designer" though, surely it's passe by now?
Having said that, I wonder where I put that hammerite?

Too bad it isn't something a bit more special, rather than 3 quite common OTPs.
-
• #10
Yeah but think about it - it is precisely what TopShop do for clothes - cheap clothes which look good = cheap bikes which look good.
-

TBH, it seems a bit late in the trend.i'm not embarrassed by it. if it means that one person thinks about buying one and discovers the joys of cycling then i'm all for it.

I'd beg to differ. the charge isn't a good looking bike, mainly for it being an OTP
-

Yeah I would agree with that - cycling = good, snobbishness about bikes = bad.

It was more of rhetorical statement rather than an actual opinion of the bike, you get the general idea though.

Surprised they didn't go for Unipacks. Perhaps Primark have got them lined up for their new window display.
-
• #15
do the mannequins have the correct trouser leg rolled up?
what cards are between the spokes?
if mr byrites is still in existence they should put 'university-packets' in their windows :0)
-
• #16
More people on bikes the better, etc.
-
• #17
They might have bikes in the window but I'm sure they wouldn't let Dancing James in through the door.

• #18

nah, fuck it, let's be elitists.

Is it possible to say that in an Aussie accent?
-

Big fish small pond,
Small fish big pond.I'd much rather not be an elitist.
-
• #22
so has anyone tried taking a bike into topshop yet?

rumbled. damn. :)

Don't try it. A year ago I went in there to buy my daughters vouchers for Christmas. As I walked in I was hit by a wave of estrogen. Scary place.
-
• #25
Cliveo you have two teenage daughters, aren't you immune to estrogen by now?
I was walking past TopShop today and even the manikins in the window are into fixed gear bikes - there are three shiny OTP (Charge Plug Racer, Fuji Track and a Lemond fillmore).
Whatever next.
