Headset sounds similar to this: http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/product-Tange-Tange-Passage-1inch-Shallow-Steel-Cup-Threaded-Headset--30.2mm-Stack-Height-9225.htm
Is it an alloy version of the same thing? if not, price may be a bit high.

hm judging by the drills in the top bering cup its pista headset possibly NJs certified...
maybe...though -
• #4
-was told it was 22.2mm, but it's 25.4, so it wont fit my titanium titan, which is 22.2
-
• #5
the 30.2 is the head tube size
-i wanted a 32mm - stock bmx sized one
-again bought in error -
• #6
what does njs ceritired mean?
-what frame do a 30.2 fit?
inch and a quater? -
• #7

Sheldon says (http://www.sheldonbrown.com/headsets.html) that ISO (for 1" steerer diameter) headsets have 26.4mm crown race inside diameter and 30.2mm frame cup outside diameter.
I had assumed 30.2mm was the stack height- perhaps it is actually one of these: http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/product-Tange-Tange-Levin-1inch-Chrome-Steel-Cup-Threaded-Headset--33.3mm-Stack-Height--Fork-Seat-26.4mm--Frame-30.2mm-10953.htm
Maybe measure the stack height to be sure?

they are all english thread free wheel
-i have about 6 pairs
-i thought i could run the rear axles in the front - bmx width 110mm oln
-so i bough loads
=i can't find any track spindles for them, so i am flogging them-so no - not fixed - early 1980's campy hubs all freewheel
plus skewers only -

well i disagree, my micrometer says they are 30.20
-i need 32.60plus i favor it is definately an old school headset - it is stamped around the cups
tange alloy something
-like a campy one of a similar era = 80'sif it fit me bmx's i'd be keeping it, as its niwace

When your micrometer reads 30.2, what is it measuring?
The second tange headset I posted a link to is a copy of a campagnolo record, apparently.
Not doubting it's nice, just being curious really, as I'm about to buy a new headset myself for a project.

the outer 'tolerance fit' into the head tube
-30.20you 'may' be confusing yourself hither, as
1 inch and a quater is 31.750mm -

So it seems the headset is 1" ISO standard. As always Sheldon has the answer :-)

I will probably go for the new Tange from SJS as it is also ~£15. Apologies for (potentially) confusing you-- just wanted to clarify for others. And a good discussion of technical specifications is always welcome!

Do you have any better pictures of the hubs dude - I can't see the condition or what model.
Also - what is the OLN measurement of the rear hubs? -
• #19
they are not super record ones
-just the logo
-all camp hubs are the same casting - i think
-i have loads of spacers for freewheel stacking
-i have used all the longer rear axles though, i.e i needed all the 135mm axles, to fit -if you like a 115mm oln fixie
-you may have to use anti theft skewers, even trim some axles down?-anyways, they are all raw alloy, so can take a mirror polish with t-cut
-i have a pair of super record, with clips and script writing =£50
