WestEndDJ are pretty good and have a fair few. They're off Totenham Court Road.
I'm not sure what they're like knowledge-wise, I always research online a lot before I buy anything anyway. Prices are good though and a fair amount on display.
Edit: There's a fair few places that sell them down Denmark st as well I think.

Richer Sounds
richer sounds is a glorified junk shop.
Digital Village is an excellent store with excellent service & decent prices. My local one (birmingham) is great.
A tip if you are buying low end ones, its definetly a good idea to buy new. You can get some cracking new stuff these days. Second hand stuff is likely to have been used by DJ's who blast the fuck out of everything.
Need some help from the musically inclined lot...
now that soundcontrol is bust and turnkey's gone online only, where can i go and buy myself a pair of monitors in london town? somewhere i can at least try it out a bit and have a look see on the build quality? not looking for anything fancy i'm just thinking of lower end stuff like yamaha hs50 or tapco s5's.
any ideas?
