Brighton and back tomorrow?

Posted on
  • I'm going down to brighton and back tomorrow for a training ride, leaving london at about 10 am anyone fancy joining me? I live in s'ditch, so can meet at london, or tower bridge. I aim to get there fairly quickly with only an hour or so in brighton for lunch. I usually do this kind of thing alone, but company would be swell, if anyone's not working tomorrow, and could do with losing a couple of hundred calories, PM me.

  • What speed you going to be averaging mr Dog?

  • damn really keen for this
bike isnt ready tho gimme 2 weeks and i'll be putting out a similar request

  • aiming to average about 17-18 mph depending on wind obv.

  • Bit too fast for me over that sort of distance, alas. I live in Tower Bridge so on your way really.

  • what gearing are you gonna use?

  • 51/18 ftw

Actually in it ? Awesome. Road noise a problem??
Hmm half tempted too, will be v.cold though. Forecast says 0degC Fells like -4degC.

  • Trouble being the return will be straight into the wind. Are you climbing Ditchling on that gearing?

  • I am looking to do a long geared ride tomorrow on the my (borrowed) lovely Chesini road bike.

  • Anybody fancy doing a run to Brighton next weekend? I'm thinking of leaving early Saterday morning.

  • I'm definitely heading down to Brighton around 7am.

Does anybody have a tried & tested route i could take?

  • This is to Lewes, but near enough:
