If I were you, mechanical_vandal, I'd look for an Italian thread locking that's NOT made by Miche. I've never had a Miche hub before my current one, but the lockrings are either made of butter or cheese and I've had better friction from suicide mounting cogs with a same-way-thread bb lockring and some locktight.
I think Phil do lockrings with the right thread. You'll pay more for it, but it's well worth it to nothave the cog slipping on you. -

I reckon he's probably sorted it now mate. ;)
Cheers Joe. Might nip down. This is for my beater though so if anyone haz one or two second hand ones, that'd be cool.

Phil lockrings won't fit, you're stuck with Miche... Used examples are rare because you'll fuck a couple of notches getting the damn thing on the hub and then you'll kill the rest of them when you wanna take the fucker off...
It pretty much cost me a tenner every time I wanted to change the cog on my old Miche hub... :| -

Sorry Wicksie, I'm not a morning person, as you can see! Why doesn't anyone make decent lockrings for Italian thread? And Joe, why are you saying Phil lockrings don't fit? I thought we'd had this conversation a year or two ago and decided they were the same thread?!
-

Ah, cheers TS, I'll get me down to Condor.
No cheaper new ones? My frame didn't even cost me that much. -

Was speaking to someone the other day and they told me definitely no, they don't fit... Wish I'd checked when I had a Miche hub in the house, too lazy... Fail...
I fucking hate Miche lockrings... -

Are they £10 in Condor?
Rubbish webshite.

They're £10 in BC, assume they'll be that in there too... Unless they have some cheaper Condor branded ones...

^ Wiggle £3.50 free postage
They are 1.32" x 24 TPI same as Campy, Phil Wood and the EAI for £9 from Hubjub which I would highly recommend over Miche. Run one myself pon my Phil Woods. Solid as.

Here we go again...
A Campag lockring will definitely not fit on a Miche hub... I've tried this...
-
• #14
I'd say best bet would be save yourself postage costs and go with Wiggle!
