  • My polo bike was stolen last night. It's a 57c Ron Cooper road frame, with 'Gillot' stamped on the b/b shell, and the rear brake bridge. The paint is pearly white powder coat, with no decals and numerous chips and dents. The forks are painted the same colour, straight blades and sloping crown.

The rear wheel is a pewter Goldtec 126 OLN flip/flop, laced to 36 Mavic Open Sport. There is a 23 tooth sprocket, without a lock-nut.

The front wheel is a junky 32 hole. The h/bar stem is 10c Black with a Salsa sticker on it, and the bars have been cut just over a hand's width. There was a mashed up lever and caliper on the bike as well.

Chainset old Shimano 600 172.5 length, blue 42 tooth c/ring, mismatch bolts.

    Pedals Speedplay Frogs.

If you see it call me 07896 421 556.

    Grrr.

Oh, and my mallet was on there as well, so a donation of a ski pole would be welcomed. Double grrr.

  • boo! again!

  • I would love to post a pic of it, but I can't access flickr properly to post the one from the BFF tournament - the one where I am elbowing one of the FFF guys in the chest. That's the best pic of it that I know of. Can someone oblige? Thanks.

  • Shit Bill, bad news mate. Hope it turns up.

  • Oh for fuck's sake. What is it with people nicking the shitiest looking bikes in town? (No offence Bill).

Sorry to hear it's gone. You're welcome to the meagre resource that is my parts bin when you start a new polo build.

  • Bill, that is really shit. I hate hearing this. I missed out on going to Brick lane to look for my bike so if you want an extra person to go with you this weekend, I'll offer my services.

Hello there fine peoples. I had my first Polo bike stolen off of the Oxford Street area yesterday. Slim chances and all, but gotta give it a shot.

It's the exact bike as in the picture but with some different parts.

It's a Silver charge plug with the main body taped up in electrical tape. This is what is NOT similar to the picture.

Saddle and seatpost will be a Bontrager on unknown Carbon seatpost.
Pedals will be black with black horizontal straps.
Front wheel will be a black box section rim Araya on a shimano hub.
The bars will be some tiny unknown things on a silver stem with some black Tektro brakes on it

All other parts are: Charge plug in medium.
    Unknown cranks (LONG)
Black Rigida rear rim on a Miche hub.
    Fuji forks

I love this thing. If anyone can spot it, please kidney punch or just holla holla. It's a simple bike with shitty miss match parts, but I love it very much.

  • Anyone lost a polo bike recently? Bolo was at Brick Lane and he bought an almost new Milwaukee chain ring and guard for a quid and he's wiling to return it to its rightful owner.

  • Chan lost his bruiser in Manchester.

  • In case anyone doesn't know what chans bike looks like and it makes it down to London, http://www.lfgss.com/thread111201.html
