Sealed bearings do tend to be sealed, I'm afraid...

Remove the dust-cap, loosen the bolt a few turns then tap gently from that side... That should release the spindle side bearing then you can poke the other one out pretty easily... Hope that makes sense... What's up with it? It's a totally sealed bearing so you won't be able to get much grease in there... Also use loads of Loctite on the bolt when you put them back together, mine kept coming loose cuz I didn't use enough...

they have a c ring you can pop out with a needle. I need to get the bearing shells out from the pedal, they're proper stuck in!

Hope this helps: I just got a second hand set of RX1s - the bearings were a bit gritty, thankfully they came out. The outer side bearings (smaller ones) were still smooth, just the large inner bearings were gone. Hits on replacement bearings were like £40 for a set. Feck! I carefully measured, bearings are standard size 10mm ID, 19mm OD, and 7mm deep, so i took a chance and got some on ebay for about £3.50... Guess what, they fit, they are smooth as butter, and i'm a happy bunny! The pedals are awesome (noticably smoother than anything I've ridden). Got these:

Glad to help. I've actually got a couple of extras as spares too - (listing says buy two sets get third free). The ones i bought came with 2 rubber seals, even though listing says metal shields - bonus!
I need to grease the sealed bearing inside of the pedals, it's proving to be a nightmare getting the fuckers out! Anyone own a set of these with experience of stripping them down?? cheers!!
