they look better than plastic!
fixed.

plastic cages are well comfy, and don't snap the moment they touch tarmac.
-
• #7
any decent looking ones out there....?
um...power grips... gonna mock up a pair soon. -
• #8
nothing specific that i know of, i think tioga maybe?
fake powergrips ftw! they're absolute shite on those ^ types of pedals though.
-
• #9
yeah the angles look all wrong... might get the eyelet gun out, bit of holding fabric, belts and bolts.

My mks clips have have loads of abuse, and they're fine. Maybe you guys are just too clumsy :)
-
• #11
Dr. chan - we're talking polo abuse here... ive broke two since april
-
• #12
and yours were steel, eh?
and not even just polo abuse, i've broken a fair few alu cages, usually in the cold, hit them on the ground and they just snap. steel ones hold up quite well, as do plastic, but plastic are comfier.

Good point, I don't play polo so can't comment there. So you guys prefer these kind over the mks steel ones?

theyre the ones im running right now with double toe (zipp tied) straps. Very comfy and you can get them fucking tight!

mmm, thats the one bad thing about mks I reckon. They never seem tight enough.
Zipp tied? You mean just 2 standard zefal nylon straps tied together?

i've got the double ones as pictured by hassan, at the moment, £3 or something silly.

• #18
ha...
warning massive pic...

I am sad that you can't get the (older) Mt. Christophe plastic clips easily now.. they were strong!
- the nylon straps were stronger than certain stretchy parts of my ankles.

Interesting.
Ok, so back to the pedals. Cavendish don't have any gr-9's in black :(

Better than plastic!
I think plastic clips are great, they stay open, tighten properly, don't bend or break.
Steel look a little more classy I guess.

I run white plastic Mt. Christophe clips. The MTB style ones where the strap passes through 2 loops. My LBS sells them for £4.
I could post you some if you like... or see if they have black ones too. They are f*cking indestructible.
Anyone want to sell me some black mks gr-9 pedals? Or know anywhere that sells them in the uk? I've tried google and the bay but not really into paying £20 for postage from the states.
Also after some large black alu cages, not fused on the brand.
Cheers
