Luggage

  • I couldn't find anything on search so.

I'm going to Spain in 9 days. For a month :D. And yes, I'm taking my bike. But I need a new bag (for clothes, not the bike) for the trip as my old one is just some 8-ish years old cheapo with broken handles, bad wheels etc. So anyone got any suggestions?

I've been thinking about getting either Osprey Vector or Sojourn. Anyone got any experience from these? Is there any reason to get the Sojourn over Vector if I'm 99% sure I won't be carrying the bag anywhere. Or someone got some other brands? Nothing too expensive, just need some quality shit.

    Answers - I need em fast :<

  • Anyway, I thought people just broke their suitcase and then walked into the nearest luggage store and bought something that fit their shit in it. People compare luggage?? My god.

  • Sorry I'm cheap and use an old rucksack or duffel bag from t' market for my travels.

Well I'll be using it a lot in Spain so I want something that works and doesn't break down after first flight.

  • I've been using the same cheapass suitcase my Mum gave me for my first flight in '04.. I even moved house with it. :) Brand name it ain't.

  • I've been using the same bag since '01 but in its first year the handle on the side and the retractable handle broke. Or well the retractable handle didn't really broke, it just works randomly :P The zipper is also terrible, as is the lock and the wheels. And I've used it on like, total of 6 trips.

Why use 70e on piece of crap which breaks in few years if you can use 140e on nice luggage which you can use for 10-20 years?

  • Bumpin this thread to ask about bar bags:

Anyone got an Ostrich bar bag? Want to know if it's worth the hassle getting hold of one, fitting a front rack, yada yada yada. I'm sick of my otherwise OK (if small) Carradice SuperC bar bag bouncing around like fuck on that shitty KlickFix system clip thing - they are totally wack. I figure I want a front rack and a decent sized bag, not going to get a Berthoud cos they're astronomically expensive and their website is so appallingly confusing, unhlepful and bad I refuse to use it on principle. So to Velo Orange I went. Their copy of the berthoud is wayyy too tweedy for me, I quite like the fisherman vibe of Ostrich.

  • sorry Skully dunno about that^^

    bumping this thread to ask

is there anywhere to leave stuff, clothes to be exact at South Ken tube?
    looking for locker really

need to go for run round whole of royal parks and want to come back and put warm clothes on after.
