Thats true. Though it was still in the high 20s low 30s when I was there a couple of weeks ago. But yes, you need a jumper most evenings

and the coast is awesome malindi / lamu / mombassa / twiga lodge on the south coast

Canary Islands, not boiling hot but weather should be decent and if it's is only a short break rather than a week then it's pretty close.

animal life = shite
coastline = shite

don't bother with Mallorca/Balearics neither, it's chucking it down.
