We have a velo here in Sittard/Geleen in the Netherlands as well. It's not in the best shape, but its better than having nothing at all!

Anyone heading through the UAE should try the concrete (and sandy one) in Sharjah, home of the UAE Cycling Federation.

Figures are a bit misleading, I only know a few,
some are in a very bad state.
Opened very rarely.
You need to be a member of a club,
affiliated to the FFC, to be allowed to ride. One keeps nagging me.
Hyères :
wood,
never rode on wood,
not too steep,
they lend ( lent ?)bikes,
and it's half a mile away from a fantastic beach. -

I assumed you had to have a FFC licence to ride on it but apparently you can do a 3h beginner session. You should do it and let us know!

Ukraine since conflict :(

It doesn't look as if the dereliction was as a consequence of the conflict, more to do with illegal building works going on next to it pre-conflict:

New track near Toronto for the Pan Am games. Sadly it's an hour drive from the city, so after the games end it will sit unused as it's too far away. Seems like a missed opportunity to me.
