  • riding into town today, there was a big hold up on Newgate St. tons of po po inlcuding a bunch of armed officers, cars and a po po chopper. Traffic and pedestrians stopped in both directions and the whole street locked down. A big van rocks up, and a po po car. Nothing happens, then the whole thing breaks up.

The funny thing is, this has happened about 4-5 times this year. Just to satisfy my curiosity, does anyone know what's going on?

    Donut sale?

  • they are useing it as a staging area for an operation nearby. they are probably after a terrorist bust (to boost the economy), but have not gotten it right yet.

are you american? i've only heard my american friends use 'po po'

  • Do you mean 'poo poo' or 'police'?

  • po po is international at this point, i'm still the only person in the country who uses "Six up"

i'm american if you need to know

  • Six up? How does that relate to the police, or is it just ones of those things?
I'm partial to referring to them as the 5-0 (Pronounced five-oh), but that's cause I listen to too much N.W.A. for a white boy.

  • 5 - 0 was the aggregate score between Birmingham City and Aston Villa in the 2002-2003 season. 'Ave it!

i thought it was only illeagl to sell a brand new bike without a bell, not to rtide without one? yet helmets are not enforced, weird...

  • I'm NOT for sale!! Especially not to the Po Po!

  • it means bottom (arse) in German.

  • No Bizzes then Graham?

And you call yourself a scouser...

    Ha, oh yeah!

Not technically a 100% scouser, left when I was 11 and have lost the accent so I have spent most of my life away from Liverpool - any true scouser would say I wasn't cos I wasn't brought up there and don't live there BUT, my Ma & Da are from there(still have the accent) as is the bloodline to 67 BC and a lot of family still there.
I only put the accent back on when I go back to Goodison so I don't get a kickin for being a 'cockney shite' ;-)

  • 'Po po'?
    Are you a three-year-old?

  • "What's the colour of a 2c coin? Copper! Copper!"
"You're going home in the back of a divvy van!"
