I have a similar one you can have for the price of shipping.

That's very kind but I'll let it go to someone else. These Salsas are steel, and rather nice. Thanks all the same.

I know, big ugly welds, right?
In the trash it goes.

if there is still no joy, pop to bristol bike workshop. they get salsa frames so may be able to sort you a stem from the distributers.
-

those salsas are impossible to get from the uk....
there are some silver ones on the bay in various lengths , no branded but look rather noice. Badly listed though. -

Ok I've decided against using one of these. I heard Cavendish may have some, and webcyclery.com where very helpful when asked about postage to the UK.
I've worked out a stem swap that'll do the job... although it leaves a Nitto ProAA on my shitty Peugeot (which is pretty funny).

bristol bike workshop.
Thanks for the heads-up on that. That's a brilliant shop. There's a girl who works in there as a (part time) mechanic. She's a total genius, nothing is too broke for her!
...except maybe me!

Bump. I want one of these now.
75 degree angle, front loading, 90mm. Same as the one in the photo up top ^
If anyone's got one, PM me.
Thanks

i was at bristol uni. bike workshop is the dog's manhood. everyone who works in there is a walking bike encyclopaedia and it's so much cheaper than anywhere else.
when i moved back to london and the commute to the bike workshop became a bit unrealistic, i went to brick lane bikes. never again. i'd rather sleep on the national express than give those people my money.

I'm pretty sure they had a recall of those stems... might be why it's difficult to find them in shops.
-
• #13
I didn't think it was the same ones.
-
• #14
Actually I'm wrong.

There was a list of front loading quill stems in a thread, somewhere. UTFS has left me none the wiser. HELP!

Bump!

Does any one know if the Cinelli Oyster is hinged?
-
• #21
both of those ^ are as ugly as fnck.
-
• #22
Going for function.
-
• #23
therte are better looking stems out there
-
• #24
Would prefer hinged or front loading, I don't want to use a converter and can't afford 1" ahead forks etc.

Has anybody ever found these Salsa stems available in the UK?
They're called the 'Salsa CroMoly S.U.L.'
They sell in the US with 75, 90, 115 degrees angles (drop/small rise/proper rise).
I'm after one around 90mm in length. With 75 or 90 degree angle.
