Twin spoks!
But what I really want to know......is it 'stunning'? -
• #3
Size?
(where do you get those bikes?) -
• #4
Also just noticed the price, fuck you if that isn't stolen
-
• #5
Why does it have to be stolen?
-
• #6
because i'm jumping to conclusions and I've been drinking.
Surely those wheels are worth more than £190? -
• #7
Them ain't 'spokes. Not sure what they are, but I imagine (him having not mentioned them) that they're just some plastic things.
-
• #8
Wow. You have TWO THOMSON bikes for sale!
-
• #9
Stolen, the rrp on the s/post, stem and cranks would be 190 quid alone.
-
• #10
To he honest my intuition screams stolen........WAC
Kingcutter, could you explain to us how you got to your low, low price based on frame and componentry?
-
• #11
I don't know whether this bike/components are stolen or not, but I will say: used bikes almost always go for less than the sum of their parts. This is why splitting and selling is a better idea. Are we going to accuse Scott for stealing his Stork 'cause of the price he's asking?
-
• #12
it aint nicked ,hes got it on the retrobike forum as well ,give the bloke a chance .hey cutter you still wants some pink velocitys

Of course, there are always big mark downs in price for second hand stuff. However that frame alone with track drop outs would fetch £80ish on eBay so how much is all rest worth?
Considering most people will price second hand stuff a bit high to give themselves some negotiation room, £190 is fucking low. Therefore supicious.
That's how I see it anyway, I look forward to being called a cunt any moment now -

dixon old boy,
that looks like it's a cannondale badboy from before they got all friendly with the sloping top tube people, which would mean vertical drop-outs not track hence single speed.to be honest though if it wasn't for the shonky mag wheels i'd be into that...
-
• #15
Yup, looks vertical to me.
-
• #16
Yeah on further inspection they are vertical drops........my bad.
Could be that I'm just a cynical cunt. -
• #17
Horatios right. those aint spoks, i have seen those plastic wheels on a Mistibushi branded mountain bike, are they 24"?
-
• #18
the clues in the name
KINGCUTTER = king of cutting locks
your secret code is broken
-
• #19
It is a fair price.
Those wheels would roll like a Tonka truck (but not in a good way). -
• #20
didn't we saw that frame in the current project topic?
-
• #21

Heh heh, cool wheels!! To be honest, spoks are just plastic wheels too but even still given the componentry it does seem to be a bit on the cheap side...still... how many bike thieves go to the trouble of getting custom made, massive Thomason stickers to put on bikes before they sell them...either that or someones missing two bikes and I think someone would recognise them...

Its quite funny actually we must have been building very similar looking bikes at the same time :D
The black single speed was supposed to be for my wife but she hated it :D so I put it up for sale last week on retrobike for £90 posted and it sold straight away but the buyer has now pulled out.
The red SJSC one was built out of bits I had hanging about doing nothing, so when I put them up for sale I'll expect the red one to be called a overpriced heap and the black one stolen :D
p.s yes I'm aware the brake has no cable :D
In light of my recent post I don't even think I will try and say what type of single speed or who might ride it but,it's for sale and has some nice kit on it,ie THOMSON stem,THOMSON seat post and a brand new single speed truativ crank with new BB new headset and brand new brakes chain tension is perfect running 33/18 nice respray and I think it,s not a bad looking bike. But there again what do I know
190quid.
