i don't understand why you bought a frame that was too small for you for 820 quid?
-
• #9
yes, that was troubling me.
you have also posted many times about how great it is to ride... what happened? are you SURE it's too small? maybe it's just an idea in your head

selling stuff is crap. I've been tempted to sell mine again due to excessive alcohol consumption. hope it goes to good hands man.

when I arrived at mercian to be measured up they asked me for the length of my seatpost - all my 'hipster' bikes had small frames with long seatposts and riser bars - road bikes like this one ought to have taller frames - I have never had a roadbike before so I didn't really know this at the time - mercian never noticed neither - to be honest there ain't much in (2cm) it is just that I am a bit of a perfectionist so it 'bothers' me - I want the money for a deposit to go buy another one a few cm taller - yeah I lose a bit of money on it - but I like building bikes - so the money don't bother me - tell you summit though - this is a real throughbred - first bike to give me nosebleeds this one

I'm 5' 8" and if I thought that would fit me I'd bite your hand off but 55.5 is HUGE!! for me :o
I ride a road bike with a 53.5 top tube but I like my fixed bikes a bit smaller again

really? do you have a self-deprecating mum, then?

55.5cm square would be good for someone about 5'9" to 5'11".

unless of course you're going for the quick response steering setup. ie bmx/4x hipster stem

Wow! If I only had the money. I have a girlfriend kickin' about that I could probably trade?

Ralphieboy I should have taken you with me to mercian and then I wouldn't be in this situation, innit ;)

Chromed track drop outs
Flat head round track forks (drilled)
Custom two tone paint with white lug lining
Geometry is 74 head - 73 seat

This frame goes like a bat out of friggin hell in traffic

I have ridden this frame Paris Orleans
I ordered the frame June 2007
and it was delivered January 2008
It has two small paint chips that have been touched up (photos avaliable)
and a some small scratches on one of the chain stays
other than that it is mint
It cost me £820 pounds new
I'll let it go for £450 (frame & forks only)
I can bring it to London on the Eurostar
Reason for sale - too small :(
