Thanks Fruitbat...but then i would need chain ring and BB and bolts.....it becomes quite expensive....i was hoping someone on the forum had one in their garage/shed gathering dust....perhaps a forlorn hope but if you don't ask, you don't get as my Grandmother always told me...cheers anyway.

31338QQihZ006QQcategoryZ56197QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemThanks Dylan...i saw this one but it is only the RH crank and by the seller's own admission it is suitable for a show bike...implies not for 'real' usage..and it has 3/32'' ring..sadly!

Be careful with the 49Ds, unless the threads on the cranks are perfect you will have problems removing them as Stronlight puller are rarer than hen's teeth and they're 23.5mm as opposed to TA which are 23mm.
Here's the axle length diagram for TA;
Notice that the axle is symmetrical, I believe that the Campag 109 is a suitable replacement.

Fruitbat.....JA Stein make a suitable...Stronglight puller....and it is distributed by Ison....for £35. out of stock!...but because of all the problems you mention as the dragons say...'for that reason, i am out'.....Did you 'purchase' Provenrad's TA cranks and BB?

No, my cyclotouriste came new from Spa Cycles, and the 3 arm Professional I found on the bay.
He may still have them, worth giving him a shout.
Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen of the forum.....does anyone have a set of the of TA 165mm Cyclotourist cranks for a reasonable price with its tapers and threads in good condition?...though the odds are that no one on the forum can help and the thread bombs!
Cheers
