MessenJah: Is he a troll or not?

This morning, back in London and catching up on forum admin, I see that the only incidents that have resulted in reported posts over the last week were all by MessenJah.

A whopping 9 reported posts across 3 threads, all started by MessenJah.

No I personally think, "So what?". Because I don't edit, delete or do anything based on the personal taste. If you don't agree with what someone has written you can respond and put that person in his place, or just put the guy on ignore or something.

However, I do ban people who are trolls and whose participation seems limited to simply stirring up shit and causing arguments all the time, people who don't contribute in any way outside of encouraging people to squabble and fight.

So if he's not a troll... get over it. But if he is a troll... cool, we'll just ban him.

Now I could probably make my own mind up, but I'm on holiday for a couple of days now and don't see why I should read through all of the threads and posts involved. Especially as you guys have already read through all of that shite.

So I'm leaving it up to you all to tell me, in your opinion do you think MessenJah is a troll?

I wouldn't ban him as he's not being nasty, racist or inflammatory. He's just dull.
If we started banning people simply for being dull... well, you probably wouldn't be reading this post for a start...

I really won't ban someone who is not a troll. But as I haven't read the numerous threads and posts in question I have no clue.

As tempting as it would be to ban him I don't think it would be appropriate.

However, I reserve the right to change my mind (a bit like voting in Florida). If he comes up with any more classic gems along the lines of "Wheels, should they be round?"

No Wiki isn't, spellchecker is though. It gives me a sort of warm feeling inside everytime you mention one of my spelling mistakes, like you are taking care of me, thank you Platini. And thanks for the Wiki links, will check it out.

He may not be a troll, but sure is a shit stirrer. I don't think you have to ban him, I have learned how to change the settings in the Ignore manager to ignore threads started by users on ignore, it works a treat, and now half the tat on here has dissapeared! Good work VB.

oh for fuck's sake people - someone posts a few tumbleweed threads and gets reported as serious threat to the smooth running of the forum. Come on - he's been on here longer than 4,800 other members. Considering the amount of utter bollocks that gets posted on here every day by members old and new there's more than enough room for MessenJah. If you respond to a thread you contribute to the perpetuation of it. Get some perspective and lighten up.

He's not a troll....i've met the guy....he's just stirring things up a bit....and you guys all taking the bait are just making it worse for yourselves.

Both Platini and Pajamas are right, he's may not be a troll and he may be slightly annoying or dull but I'm sure that most people have made posts that are annoying and dull (as Pajamas said). These threads may be daft and have you rolling your eyes here we go again but I find it quite fun but at least he's providing some light entertainment, if you don't like him ignore him or flame him.
