Very shallow angle cut- along rather than in.
Hey ho, just need to find a way to put a cycling glove on to get to the 'sham hospital.

Oh ok, they'll probably only stick steri-strips on it and one of those finger bandages. If you don't want to go hospital put some pressure on it, stem the flow, wrap it up and go to Boots in the morning.

dip it in vodka, then wrap it in electrical tape. You go to hospital if you wanna get sick.

if its not bleeding too bad, ice it, put pressure on it, and if it'll keep til morning, go to the nearest minor injuries unit, I know there's one at guy's, back of london bridge, open from 8-8 I think, they'll sort you out, much quicker than waiting for hours in a+e, usually see you in half an hour or so, depending on how many people are waiting to be seen.

It doesn't sound too bad but make sure that you clean it and dress it. You don't want to get it infected.

• #16
if you have to ask, you probably should

Give it one day! If it feels or looks shit after 24 hours. Go to Hospital! Ive done this before and it got nasty. 7 hours is nothing compared to a couple weeks of infection.

In A&E now, one mad girl running around to keep us all on our toes.
Thanks for the advice all- would have gone to guys in the morning as Corny suggested but for the fact that I have to interview someone tomorrow morning. -

Back now- they washed it out then glued it, which I have to say is a new one on me.
Then they mummified it with steri-strips.Apparently the glue will hold it shut and then fall away when it has healed- is technology not great?
I wish it had been this easy when I blew the ligaments in my knee!

use superglue - they're designed to work with skin (it was made for fast patching during the Vietnam War).

Most if not all domestic superglues contained arsenic. I would be wary of putting arsenic in direct contact with my bloodstream. Low level exposure causes nausea and vomiting, decreased production of red and white blood cells, abnormal heart rhythm, damage to blood vessels, and a sensation of "pins and needles".
DOMESTIC SUPER GLUE- HTFU & Go for it!

staple gun
Just been washing up, picked up the sharp knife, sponge slipped off.
Shallow angle cut runs around my right finger for approx 1/4th the cirumferance of the digit, around 1cm deep at its deepest.
I am loath to go and wait for 7 hours at my nearest medical facility (don't even know where it would be).
Can I get away with HTFU and kitchen towel?
