i am a drops with tape person.
i also have an old raleigh magnum (currently with drops) that may get treated to some moustache bars and i'm considering trying bullhorns on one of my bikes.

woops, forgot flat bars. doh.
-
• #7
Risers the same width as my shoulders
-

Drops, as when riding a bike I like to go as fast as I can (fitness allowing). That means riding in the drops as much as possible. Flats and risers are just slower.

Bars?

• #10
I think drops with hoods is the most important one which is missing.

Bullhorns, the ugliest ones on the market. I like drops, but I got too much beer in me, so my fat belly won't allow me to get down in the drops.

Nitto Noodle bar, 42cm, with worn blue cloth bar tape..

my drops have tape, but only on the ends (which i rarely use). it gives me a good excuse to accessorise with gloves though.

bullhorn (mine´s the Nitto bullhorn drop), perfect bar for the city, I like how my bike look with a drop, but find the track one to be difficult to grab on the top due to the curve, having a riser give me the best comfort, but it give me limited position compare to drop/bullhorn.
In the end I find the bullhorn to be the most efficient in the city, particularly when riding brakeless giving the number of position, and still be comfortable on the top and on the horn, and able to have more control during skidding.I think drops with hoods is the most important one which is missing.
Wouldn´t a bullhorn would be similar to riding on the hoods?

Tru dat,
switched to bullhorns from risers recently,
quite an improvement,
especially for brake less riding and trackstands. -
• #17
wooo hooo the first person using moustache bars!!! I feel honoured!

There's not a category for bullhorns without the tape? I need this category because I'm so shit, I can't tape my bars without making it look like a car crash.

Thin drops without bar tape all the way. I prefer the look and it doesnt really get bad when the weather does. I just got a pair of palm skins(€2) which is much cheaper and easier than tape.

i changed my risers to track drops just recently, with a view to going down to hernia hill, and they are killing me. if i could be arsed to remove the soyo grips and if i didn't feel guilty about having my shiny nittos just sat there i would probably swap 'em back.

risers the same width as shoulders.
