raw aluminium is pretty weak and will bend/snap very easily.

seems pretty strong when i had a feel (knee to tubing bend thingy).... i stated emergency poles... i don't think its an equal substitute. back in your box gabes. ;)

are people short of ski poles? Cause i have a couple i have been saving but will sell on as i have two mallets at the mo and can probs bring some back from canada. I'm not flogging them for peanuts or beer though.
