Winter tyres might up that a bit, I'm not sure how much longer I can stay on the road with slicks!
I hear that.
48x20, which is about 64 gear inches. I find this fine most of the time, like when my commute to work at peak traffic times becomes my bikes soul purpose.
Having a fixed\fixed hub, I can flip it to 48x16, which is about 81 gear inches, at any time. This is a lot of fun for speed brake-less, but my knees often hurt accordingly. -

I'm on a 65" - the flip side of the hub gives me 68"ish which feels 'right' but lets just say that I'm a couple of stone too heavy for it!

Current in winter mode, so I've got a 42x16 on 28s with shit AlexRims.
Otherwise running a 42x15 on 23s with white Deep Vs.By the way, does anyone else think that Bristol has an extrordinary amount of broken glass on the side of every road?
