Was going to water proof with that spray stuff you use for boots but i tried it on a sample piece and it changed colour to a much darker colour so will not be using it.Just though i would show you my challenge today and share with you my femine side:)

I used proofride on mine - yup, it does darken but if you don't waterproof [especially around the stitched seams] they will definitely stretch and move around once they are wet

Ive been sewing since I was little kid and I used to work in the costume shop at uni making stuff. I am completely crap and amature but I really like it. I just made a roll up fabric tool kit for my girlfriend for her birthday. Your Feminine side will get you more of the Feminine kind anyway!

Nope did'nt soak them in anything as the material is very soft and pliable as it is.Although i would say that you use that leather protect stuff first though as i did it afterwards and i was difficult to get into the stitching.

Thats good, as in the old days they would soak them before stitching them on to make them fit realy well. I think i read about it in velo mag. They look great, think ill have to have ago on my new build.
