Saw this earlier but don't know how to post links and was afraid of the grief I would get if I asked someone else to.
It's 25 years since I left Wigan. Leaving felt quite a lot like being dragged out of a chimney; you're embarrassed, you know it'll take a while to live down but the alternative is to stay in there till you die. -
