  • It seems noone wants to know.

  • cheers mate, will watch out for the prick!

  • Well then...I think its time for a bit of LFGSS style punishment.
slimjim:: you grab the book of internet insults, i'll create a fake account...meet me in ebay in 20 minutes.

  • fuck they are not bad wheels for £84, spoke count means fuck all, rim wear is a personal opinion.

  • "The spoke count was wrong"
Should have looked at the photo then, shouldn't you?

  • Paypal will usually resolve these things for you and sides with the buyer 99% of the time.

  • Second hand wheels, caveat emptor.

  • dude, you realise you live in the real world?!? this just furthers to the front wheel debacle. you're an idiot!

  • Whatever man, im just trying to let ppl know about a dodgy seller.

While at the same time alerting them to a needy whinger.
    Multi-tasking - well done you...

  • I bought second hand Campag wheels on ebay, complete with a long list of attributes, including that the rear one had new bearings. Even mentioned the lbs who had done the work in Cambridge. Turned out the hub was binding and the bearings and cups were fucked. Ended up replacing front and back cups and bearings, with spares from Condor and Carbontec.

    Quit fucking moaning

  • Fact not moan.

  • Yeah but this forum doen't want to hear about facts and what ebay sellers to avoid.

  • You can see from the pictures that it's the rear which has been tied and soldered and even I can count to 28 and can figure out that the spoke count is wrong.

Personally I'd be happier with 28h spoke count than 24, so would consider that a piece of luck, likewise, tied and soldered front wheel is no real use, but the rear does make sense.

The front's a 32h which would be even better for street use, but very wrong from the description.

There is a picture showing the rim wear on one wheel, if the wear is much worse then that is an issue, but for the price it doesn't look bad.

I've had a few bargains off eBay from sellers who have mis-described things and not got as much attention from serious bidders as they should have.

At worst it looks as though you've got one decent wheel and one where you might need a new rim in the future.

  • dude, you had a bad experience on ebay, lots of us do, this is why Roxy started this thread,

you didn't need to start a whole new one...
    Search is your friend...

Seller is using a picture of my C40 to sell his frameset, asked him politely to remove it but he doesn't seem to understand.
There is no automated option to report this kind of infringement so I don't really know what to do...
    Anyone?

PS: sorry just realised this thread was for a specific seller, but still is pretty dodgy.
