Murtle, Scott uses those and swears by them.
I use a pair of these, which used to come with a core layer too, basically two pairs of gloves for the price of one. Beautiful in the snow.

Reminds me of my favourite metal band's name, L.O.Girls... Saw them playing in the back room of a pub in Stockwell back in the late 80s, BC Rich guitars, spandex, poodle hair and flashbombs... Awesome!

You guys must life in a different London to me, lobster gloves must be boiling. The only time I like to have clammy hands is when I'm about to do something I shouldn't.

Tommy, we just don't give off the seething heat of the devil. Winter is cold when you're not burning in fires of the demonic.

I actually have some of those sealskinz ones, they are really good but you do get sweatyhands and they are pretty thick.

Manicured hands can be hard to take care of, I'm told...
Don't take the piss out of murtle, he's just trying to maximize customer satisfaction, after all who wants a hand job from someone with palms like a builder?
Okies, not really bike specific, but these are a neat idea for them cold days when you still need finger tips (ipod scrolling, phones etc)
