Sorry, I had to do that. :)
Slightly more aero. More benefit to be had from aero rim though. More costly. Trickier to build straight wheels and have blades aligned. Catch the wind so slightly dodgier than trad. wheels in high wind.
If you want one I have a radial, bladed front wheel for sale.. I think. I might have sold it already.. I can't recall which wheels I own now.

You sluts need to let me time to get my reply in straight after.. now it looks like I'm being nice instead of being funny.. tut tut.

if you are time trialing or a fashion victim there are certain advantages.
would imagine they are a bit tricky to to true-up -

any idea on hubs/rims?
-
• #10
I had an idea about a hub the shape of a brick once. It wasn't a very good idea. A rim made out of flapjack though. That was a good idea.

You selling that wheel hippy? I'll take it.
-
• #19
rear got wet ;)
for the wider bladed spokes you need slots cut into the hub so they can fit through. there are the narrower one that fit through.

The Powertap was submerged once more and still functioned just fine (and I DO mean SUBMERGED).
That is the front of my set of Ksyrium ES wheels and sorry Obs, they're not for sale.
They're my climbing wheels (haha). I'm too addicted to PT though to use the rear for anything except a spare :S -
• #21
Wishful thinking. Beautiful wheels you've got there.

so if i dont go for insanely bladed spoke I can use any hub for a bladed wheel build? does the same hold true for rims?

Should do. Most, if not all, bladed spokes are rounded at each end to make it easy to build a wheel with them.
Just be careful putting your fingers anywhere near them when you're on the move;

Should also think about the cost double Butted spokes 60p good bladed spokes 190p.....two wheeels......64 spokes........you do the maths.
Your OK with that do it. i think the only time not to use them performance wise would be if you are trying to save weight.
Recommend SAPIM CX-RAY probably the best you can get and only ones I have been able to get in silver.

if there are any benefits to them? what kind of rims take them? what kind of hubs?
i saw a front wheel on a bianchi pista outside a restaurant in canary wharf with bladed spokes last night. looked well nice.
any cycling sages out there wanna enlighten us mere mortals (noobs)?
