Un-died apricots and mango FTW. Dried fruit is great, I always use it on any long ride. Go fint a Julian Graves, (much better than Holland and Barret) and have a look. There will be something there you like.
If you like bananas but don't like banana chips try the sun dried banana. They look like droppings but taste great.

I don't like the taste of ripe bananas always eat them before they go too soft.

There will be something in a Julian Graves you like, it's not just the standard prunes. Cranberries are another favorite of mine. Kiwi is disappointing IMO, mango is great apple good too.
This years Dunwich was on Sorean, dried apricots and cashew nuts for me.

^ that is some goooood granola!
I've also been hitting the baby food section in the supermarket; there's all kinds of fruit gels, purees and bars dirt cheap compared to sports bars.

I have to say Tesco's finest world fruit and nut selection does what it says on the bag. not only does it contain fruit and nuts. it's fine and from tescos and stuff
About £3, really good balance and lasts a whole ride -

I've been snacking on the Goji Berry medley from the one on Oxford Street near HMV.
Steer waayyyy clear of Tesco's wholefood range. They sell the alot of the same bits in the
bakery section for less than half the price.
I rode Marmotte in July. I bonked with 8 miles to go.
All my training and practice Sportif 's were fulled on Bananas. i've never used dried fruit as i've never been a fan of it.
It has occurred to me that the reasson that I bonked was nothing to do with my fitness, preparation or a cute supermodel (more's the pity). When I was in France I was unable to find what my body was used to and therefore i may have eaten the wrong thing or not enough. The only food that I can associate with both countries are dried fruits. I herd that they're good to use but are they?
