Funny thing is I do coast when riding fixed - or at least sort of coast, I am sure most people do, you just loosen up your legs and let them get moved around by the cranks.

went for my longest ride fixed so far, about 20 miles, and 'coasted' as Hippy said right at the end. Also almost fell off for the first time (4 weeks in) when I had to stop suddenly and couldn't get my left foot out. I did just in time, but I think I would have only ended up leaning against a bus. Is it wrong I haven't fallen off yet? Is it like in MTbing where if you don't stack, you're not riding hard enough?
