I was not let into a metal pub in paris because I wasn't wearing boots and black.

Isn't MessenJah a mate of Lethal Cunt Bags? It would explain it. ;p

Punk bands wore suits, Death metal bands wore Hawaiian shirts and shorts and sandals, Rappers dressed like scruffy stoners, etc.
I hate the fact that genres of music have an image attached to them.
I've been told "you don't seem the type to listen to that sort of music"... fuck off, I listen to it because I like the sound of it not because I want to fit into some sort of genre...
Good point.
Best if you tell these guys about it next time though. -

Oi, he ain't my mate, OK so we know of eachother through critical mass and through riding fixed in Brum, but that's as far as it goes.
Anyway, this thread topic is a good one. Potentially. But you cunts ruined it :-(

Wow, I bet lethal bumbag is quite hurt by this.. I know I would be if someone was so quick to disassociate themselves with me!

Why do people take their 'virtual reputation' so seriously? Dissasociate from a real world aquaintence to keep up a rep with make believe internet friends?
Ive become the local fool round here somehow by starting what I think are potentially good threads, but everyone else derails into a profanity competition.
I see a similarity, I think andyp has a point.

It's OK, but it's not as good as the Earache/R&B remixes. Entombed vs Outkast? Godflesh vs Destinys Child? Both wins.
I know mash ups are generally lame, but Godflesh vs Destinys Child is probably the best thing I've ever heard.

I'm not even sure if you are who I think you are, but if you are who I think you are (or even if you're not), answer me this - what part of what I said is untrue? It is true of EVERYONE I ride with in Brum. I barely know any of them and never knew them before I started going to Critical Mass. My actual mates don't ride bikes, apart from one guy, who has been my mate for about 7 years, which isn't really that long, but we spent a lot of time BMXing, travelling and drinking together, long enough for me to call him a 'mate'. I've only known you and the rest of the Critical Mass people 2 years, and we only briefly see eachother for about an hour every couple of months for a bit of bike riding. I don't really consider that being 'mates', I consider that 'people I know through cycling'.

chill out, I think you missed my point.
-
• #23
I already am pretty chilled out, thanks though. What's your point then?
-
• #24
That we write similar threads and that people take often their v-bulletin persona's a little too seriously.
-
• #25
But the internet is serious business. There's no such thing as 'too serious' when it comes to online personas.
